Strong finish gives lady Rams a 62-49 win

In a rare back-to-back performance the usually hot handed perimeter shooting game of the Shepherd Hill Lady Rams dropped few degrees in the first half as they threw up more icicles than net burners. While Tantasqua's Olivia Brookes was scorching the twine with 3 pointers (6 on the night) keeping the Lady Warriors within striking distance, only down by 3 at the half (30-27) the Lady Warriors were unable to keep pace with Shepherd Hill in the second half as the Lady Rams started to find the range with a stronger inside game as they slowly pulled away to take the win.

Meghan Fornaro finished with a team high 21pts for the Lady Rams, followed by sophomore Brooke Packard’s 16pts. Ciara McKissick and Christina Gauvin added 10 and 9pts, respectively. Tantasquas’s Olivia Brooks led all scores with a game high 29pts.

The Lady Rams improve to 4-1 on the year, also taking a 44-34 win over Algonquin the night before.

Shepherd Hill will be back in action on the 29th, traveling to Auburn for a 7:00pm contest with the Lady Rockets.
