Hometown Bank announces promotions

OXFORD, MA - Hometown Bank has announced two recent promotions, according to President and CEO Matthew S. Sosik.
Karen Yancik has been promoted to Vice President, Compliance & Risk Management Officer and Tina M. Puzo has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and will serve as the Branch Manager of Hometown Bank’s new Auburn branch.
Ms. Yancik is responsible for assuring that the bank complies with all federal and state industry related regulations and risk management. She is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Compliance Network. She has participated in various community activities supporting Easter Seals, the Arthritis Foundation, and the United Way. Ms. Yancik holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nichols College, Dudley. She resides in Dudley with her husband and twin sons.

Ms. Puzo has served as manager of Hometown Bank’s Webster branch since 2009. In addition to her banking experience, Ms. Puzo has been actively involved in a number of community activities. She serves on the Boards of Directors for the Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber of Commerce and the Webster Education Foundation, and has been a committee member for the South County Relay for Life in Auburn since its inception in 2003, serving on a variety of Relay committees over the past 15 years. She was a recipient of the Girl Scouts of Montachusett Council Women of Distinction Award and a 2004 recipient of Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award.
Hometown Bank is a $304 million mutual bank with offices in Athol, Oxford, South Lancaster, Sturbridge and Webster. A sixth branch is slated to open at 569 Southbridge Street in Auburn in mid-September.
