Webster - Barbara S. (Arel) Zalewski, age 81, died Monday, November 12, 2012, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Zalewski.  He died in 1994.  She leaves a daughter, Linda A. Langway, with whom she made her home; a brother, Orville C. Arel of Southbridge; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Edward R. Arel of Southbridge.

She was born in Sheldon, Vermont, daughter of the late Edward and Sybil (Norris) Arel and lived in Dudley for ten years and Webster for over forty years.  She was an injection molder at American Optical for over thirty-eight years.  She had previously worked at the Cabot Company.  She was a communicant of Saint Louis Church, Webster.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012, with a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Louis Church, Lake Street, Webster.  (Please go directly to church).  Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster.  There are no calling hours.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
