Charles E. Cloutier Sr., 71
Dudley - Charles “Charlie” E. Cloutier Sr., 71, died unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, MA.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Alice (White) Cloutier. one son: Charles E. Cloutier Jr. and his wife Caryl Sprague-Cloutier of Charlton. Two daughters: Annette Fotino and her husband Peter of Byfield, MA, Cheryl Lowell and her husband Matt of Middleboro, MA, one daughter-in-law: Melissa Marando and her husband Barry of Charlton. Nine loving grandchildren Chelsea, Charles III and his wife Emilie, Maygen, Melanie, Christopher, Juliana, Laura and Emily, one brother: George Cloutier of N. Attleboro.
He was born in Pawtucket, RI, the son of the late George and the late Mary (Szostakowski) Cloutier.
He held many professional certificates from heating technology centers and the University of Connecticut.
Charlie was a heating engineer for 40 years with Supply New England based in Attleboro, MA. and retiring in 2011. Charlie enjoyed 6 winters in New Smyrna Beach FL. He loved driving and walking on the beach hand in hand with his lovely bride Alice. He enjoyed collecting Smith Miller die cast metal trucks and proudly displayed them in his office. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16 at 11 AM in Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. Burial will follow in North Side Cemetery, Charlton. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.
