Charles F. Kopas, age 88
DUDLEY -- Charles F. Kopas, age 88 of Dudley, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at UMASS Memorial Health Care – Memorial Campus, Worcester.
He was the husband of the late Barbara M. (Korch) Kopas, who died in 2007. He leaves a son, Brian D. Kopas of Dudley, with whom he made his home; a grandson, David Kopas and his wife Monique Kopas of Thompson; a great-granddaughter, Ariel Kopas of Thompson; a brother, Dr. Anthony Kopas of Worcester; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats, Doubles and Little Girl. He was predeceased by a son, Russell Kopas on June 4, 2013, by his daughter-in-law, Eileen M. (Johnson) Kopas on January 23, 2013 and by his twin brother, Francis Kopas.
He was born in Webster, son of the late Jan A. and Theresa R. (Senkarik) Kopas. He was a retired weaver having worked many years at the former Stevens Linen in Dudley. Along with his brother Francis, he was a Merchant Marine veteran. He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church, the Slovak Sokal and the Janota Society.
There are no calling hours. Private funeral services and burial will be in Waldron Cemetery, Dudley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cat Connection, Main Street, Webster, MA 01570.
