Kaye G. (Morton) Manyak

North Grosvenordale – Kaye G. (Morton) Manyak, formerly of East Douglas, MA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 13, 2013.

She was born on February 9, 1943 in Glasgow, Scotland, and was the only child of the late Hector and Euphemia Morton.

Kaye is survived by her husband of 24 years, Richard A. Manyak of North Grosvenordale, CT; her children, Angie Mungham-Milestone and her husband Walter of Thompson, CT, Iainn Morton and his wife Sheila of Pittsburgh, PA, and Sarah Lombard of Worcester, MA; three grandchildren whom she adored, Marissa A. Mungham and Victoria A. Trudeau-Mungham of Thompson, CT and Jordan A. Coleman of Worcester, MA.  Gráím thú (I love you).

Before retiring in 2006, Kaye had worked as a medical office manager and previous to that was a toll collector for the Mass Pike.  She was a member of St. Denis Church in East Douglas, MA.

Kaye enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and was Blue Ribbon and Best of Show Ribbon winner of the Woodstock Fair for her meticulous Irish Knit Sweaters.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, holiday dinners with her family, going to the casino and wolf preservation.  Her feistiness, hearty laughter and undying love for her family will be sorely missed by many.  Sláinte (Cheers).

The family would like to thank Hospice of NE CT and The Cancer Center at Harrington for all their love and support.  Kaye considered you all a second family.

Funeral services and burial are private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of NE CT, Pomfret Street, Putnam, CT 06260 or at Wolfhaven.org.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
