WEBSTER – Michael J. “Mickey” O’Neill, 51, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 25 years, Beth C. (Warren) O’Neill; a son, Shawn M. O’Neill; a daughter, Bridget E. O’Neill all of Webster; a brother, Ted O’Neill of W. Brookfield; aunts and uncles; nephews and nieces; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth A. Murphy of Venice, FL. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Mark O’Neill.

Worcester, a son of James F. and Theresa (Lalone) O’Neill. He attended Bay Path High School and ITT Technical College.

Mr. O’Neill was a self-employed carpenter retiring in 1996 due to illness.

He was an avid Patriots fan who also enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, hunting and cooking. He won a Super Bowl cooking contest for some of his recipes. He was loved by all who knew him and was especially close to his children and their friends.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial is private. A calling period will be held Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Massachusetts, 9 Erie Drive, Suite 101, Natick, MA 01760.
