RUTLAND – Rita V. (Palmore) Ruby, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at UMASS Memorial Health Care – Memorial Campus, Worcester.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth Ruby. She leaves two sons, William Hamblet of Buffalo, New York and James Hamblet of Rotterdam, New York; a daughter, Christine Waible, with whom she made her home in Rutland; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grndchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, William Palmore and Jasper Palmore.

Rita was born in Tottenville, New York, daughter of the late William and Florence (Morgan) Palmore. She received her degree from Saint Lawrence University and was the administrator for the Montvale New Jersey School Board.

There are no calling hours. Funeral services and burial are private. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, is directing arrangements.
