Roland J. Dion, age 79, formerly of Joshua Place, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Worcester Rehabilitation and Health Center.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond Dion of Thompson, Roger Dion of Dudley, Donald Dion of Webster, Eddie Dion of Grosvenordale, CT, Robert Dion of Dudley; and by a sister, Claire Adams of Webster.

Roland is survived by his sister-in-laws, Rita Dion of Dudley, Lorraine Dion of Thompson, Margaret Dion of Webster and Yvonne Dion of Oxford; several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Burlington, Vermont, son of the late Albert and Edwidge (Lefevbre) Dion and lived in Webster most of his life.  He was formerly employed by the Southern Worcester County Rehabilitation in Webster.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Webster.

He loved Summit Elder Care in Worcester.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, East Main Street, Webster.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster.  There are no calling hours.  Please Omit Flowers.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Renovation Fund, East Main Street, Webster, MA 01570.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
