WEBSTER – Estelle Y. (Hamel) Tremblay, 96, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Lanessa Extended Care. Her husband of 63 years, Peter J. Tremblay, died in 2005.

She leaves a son, Dennis P. Tremblay and his wife Doreen E. Tremblay of Webster; a granddaughter, Karen Ann Phelps and her husband Carl Phelps of Scottsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Peter C. Tremblay in 1993.

She was born in North Grosvenordale, CT, the youngest of the 7 children of Clodomir and Emma (Despelteau) Hamel. She graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in 1934 and had lived in Webster since 1941.

Mrs. Tremblay was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday, February 9, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Saturday prior to the Mass.
