It was hardly a surprise to anyone that Meghan Fornaro was named the Central Mass high school girls’ basketball player of the year, this past week.
In addition to being named Player of the Year, Fornaro was also named to the Central Mass Super Team along with thirteen of her peers in Central Mass.
The Shepherd Hill star and captain led Central Mass in scoring with a 22.5 scoring average and scored over 1,000 points in her storied career on the Hill. In her last home game she played the game of a lifetime, hitting 8 three-pointers in route to an amazing 42-point performance.
Fornaro will be attending the Coast Guard Academy in the fall, where she will continue to dazzle on the basketball court.
